Hi, I’m Alisha Mikesh — a portrait photographer based in Minnesota, mom of three, and founder of Courageous Moments Photography. My journey behind the camera began years ago, but after losing our oldest son, Lucas, to childhood cancer, life—and my lens—took a pause. Now, with a heart full of purpose and a passion reignited, I’ve returned to photography with a deeper appreciation for the moments that matter most.

I specialize in portrait photography that captures the emotion, connection, and personality behind every face. From family sessions to milestone portraits, I focus on creating meaningful images that tell your story with warmth and authenticity. I also offer complimentary sessions for families affected by childhood cancer—honoring Lucas’ legacy by giving back in the most heartfelt way I know how.

Outside of photography, I love chasing my kids around the yard, soaking up lake days with my husband Kyle, and turning everyday chaos into memories worth keeping.
